Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions Announces 17-Unit Order for Retail Pilot Program

Henderson, Nevada, May 10, 2021 — Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCPK:AITX), today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD) has received a 17 unit order through one of the company’s largest authorized dealers. Although not named due to confidentiality agreements, the company indicated that the end-user for this paid pilot program is a global retailer with over 15,000 locations in the US alone.

RAD units to be deployed in support of this pilot program are 15 ‘ROSA’ and 2 ‘SCOT’ units at eleven locations in five states. The primary application for these units will be to use RAD’s proprietary autonomous functionality to actively identify and deter illegal loitering, vagrancy and other related criminal and nuisance activities that are regularly happening outside of the client’s retail locations. Furthermore the units will, as appropriate, perform positive messaging and information services to valued store customers. Access to the alerts will be available to the dealer’s monitoring service and potentially made available to local law enforcement.

“The challenges that we’ll be tackling are frequent across most retail and much of the real estate world in general,” said Steve Reinharz, Founder and President of RAD. “When a highly visible end-user, working through one of our largest dealers, green-lights a project like this at this scale it shows we’re building in the right direction. The application for these ROSA and SCOT devices with this one client will likely have a huge impact on how security in retail environments is conducted,” Reinharz concluded.

Successful application of the RAD solution in this environment can lead to up to 300 additional deployments within the next 12 months for this client with an unknown number of deployments over additional years.

ROSA (Responsive Observation Security Agent) is a compact, self-contained, security and communication solution that can be deployed in as little as 15 minutes. Its AI-driven security systems include human and vehicle detection, license plate recognition, responsive digital signage and audio messaging, and complete integration with RAD’s software suite notification and response library. Two-way communication is optimized for cellular, including live video from ROSA’s dual high-resolution, full-color, always-on cameras. RAD has indicated that ROSA has seen a dramatic increase in deployment and acceptance in recent months due to the unit’s ability to detect and deter trespassing, loitering, theft and vagrancy. SCOT (Security Control Observation Tower), performs a wide variety of autonomous security, surveillance and concierge functions, providing a 360° field of view from its (4) cameras mounted nearly 7’ from the ground, along with a 22” interactive, web-enabled, touch-screen.
