Cookie Policy

Effective July 25, 2026 · Last updated July 25, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. ("RAD," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on radsecurity.com (the "Site"), and the choices you have.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

1. What these technologies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, and let us and our providers understand how the Site is used.

We also use similar technologies that work in comparable ways, including pixels and tags, which are small pieces of code embedded in a page or an email, and local storage, which holds information in your browser.

Some of these are set by RAD. Others are set by the providers we work with, for example to measure traffic or to support advertising. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.

2. Why we use them

We group cookies into four categories.

CategoryWhat it does
Strictly necessaryMakes the Site work. Handles page delivery, security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.
FunctionalRemembers choices you make, such as region or language, so you do not have to set them again.
Analytics and performanceMeasures traffic, page performance, and how visitors move through the Site, so we can improve it.
Advertising and targetingSupports our advertising, including showing RAD ads to people who have visited the Site, building and excluding audiences, and measuring which campaigns lead to an action such as a demo request.

Cookies in the last two categories are set only where you have consented, in regions where consent is required.

3. How long they last

Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. The lifespan varies by cookie and by provider, and ranges from the length of a single visit to around two years.

4. Your choices

Cookie controls on the Site. Where offered, you can set your preferences using the cookie controls on the Site and change them at any time.

Browser settings. Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them, and block new ones. The relevant settings are usually found under privacy or security. Blocking cookies is effective but broad, and blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site working.

Device settings. Mobile operating systems provide controls over the advertising identifier used by apps and websites on that device.

Advertising platform settings. The advertising platforms you use generally offer their own controls over how your activity informs the ads you see. These are managed in your account settings with each platform.

Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you stop seeing ads. It means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your activity.

5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising, for that browser.

There is no common industry standard for how to respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, and we do not currently respond to them.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the technologies on the Site change. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
