Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (OTCPK:AITX) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Robotic Assistance Devices Inc. (RAD) has been named a winner of the 2021 AST ‘ASTORS’ Award for its innovative and popular stationary security robot ROSA (Responsive Observation Security Agent).

RAD’s ROSA won in the categories of Best Robotic Perimeter Protection and Best Motion Detection Solution.

Thousands of government, security industry, and public safety professionals convened in New York City yesterday to meet with experts from hundreds of industry-leading innovators including representatives from Robotic Assistance Devices, at the Northeast’s largest physical and IT security trade show to preview the latest in security technologies.

The annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program honors distinguished government and vendor solutions that deliver enhanced value, benefit, and intelligence to end users in a variety of government, homeland security and public safety vertical markets. The most cutting edge and forward-thinking security solutions coming into the market today that ensure safety for citizens are highlighted.

“This AST ASTORS award is RAD’s and ROSA’s second significant award in as many weeks,” said Steve Reinharz, CEO of AITX and RAD. “We’re so grateful to American Security Today for recognizing the power and performance that’s packed into ROSA’s small form-factor. The industry is starting to take notice of what RAD has accomplished, our customers are too.”

The 2021 AST ‘ASTORS’ Award for Best Robotic Perimeter Protection goes to RAD's ROSA.

RAD President and COO Mark Folmer was in New York City to accept the award on behalf of the company. “It’s an honor to represent RAD and receive this ASTORS Award in front of so many illustrious security and law enforcement professionals, many of whom are either RAD clients, or future clients. It’s inevitable that the security industry will continue this transition to implementing autonomous security devices, and ROSA is just the tip of the iceberg for what’s to come from RAD,” Folmer commented.

ROSA is a compact, self-contained, security and communication solution that can be deployed in about 15 minutes. Like other RAD solutions, it only requires power as it includes all necessary communications hardware. ROSA’s AI-driven security analytics include human and vehicle detection, license plate recognition, responsive digital signage and audio messaging, and complete integration with RAD’s software suite notification and response library. Two-way communication is optimized for cellular, including live video from ROSA’s dual high-resolution, full-color, always-on cameras.

Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD) is a high-tech start-up that delivers robotics and artificial intelligence-based solutions that empower organizations to gain new insight, solve complex security challenges, and fuel new business ideas at reduced costs. RAD developed its advanced security robot technology from the ground up including circuit board design, and base code development. This allows RAD to have complete control over all design elements, performance, quality and the user’s experience of all security robots whether SCOT™ , ROSA180™ , Wally™ , Wally HSO™ , AVA™ , ROAMEO™ , and award-winning software tools including RAD Light My Way and the RAD Device Placement System.
