Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD) has upgraded its California and Canadian facilities to support the company’s growth and expansion. The new facilities are located in Irvine, California, USA, and Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
“RAD’s current growth and expected 2021 activity requires more space that can accommodate the demands of additional production space, additional staff and the myriad of requests for client demonstrations,” said Steve Reinharz, President and CEO of RAD.
The new Irvine space is conveniently located near John Wayne Airport and is the primary production location for RAD’s current and future stationary solutions. Additionally, it is the primary US-based in-person and remote demonstration facility. RAD expects significant use of this benefit beginning in January given initial dealer and end-user response.
The expanded Waterloo offices that will accommodate the majority of R&D personnel is the primary ROAMEO production location and features approximately 10,000 square feet of dedicated outdoor space for testing of RAD’s outdoor mobility solutions.
“Ultimately, the goal is to be able to serve our customers more quickly, efficiently, and effectively,” concludes Reinharz. “We’re on relatively short term leases at these locations as we work hard to outgrow both locations. It’s thrilling to be able to take this next step forward in RAD’s evolution.”
The company also mentioned that it looks forward to an incredible 2021, with new personnel coming on board, new dealers poised to sign-up, and new product announcements scheduled.
