Every child deserves to feel safe at school.

Bailey’s Promise is a national initiative offering free software to every K–12 school in the United States. Inspired by the life and memory of Bailey Holt, a bright and kind student lost in a tragic school shooting, this program is a promise to protect others before it’s too late. Using the same proven AI technology that powers RAD’s advanced security systems, Bailey’s Promise helps schools detect visible firearms and trigger alerts in real time, all through their existing security cameras and at no cost.

The software is simple to deploy and works with most existing security cameras. Once installed, it continuously analyzes the video feed, identifying visible firearms with a high degree of accuracy. When a threat is detected, the system can immediately trigger on-site alerts, notify staff or first responders, and activate emergency protocols. There is no need to purchase new hardware, sign a long-term contract, or invest in costly infrastructure upgrades.

In too many tragedies, the warning signs were visible but missed. Bailey’s Promise helps ensure those signs are never overlooked again. By turning passive security cameras into active defenders, schools gain critical seconds to respond, protect, and save lives. This is not just a technological solution, it is a moral obligation to act when tools exist that can make a difference.

Bailey’s Promise is available to every public, private, and charter K–12 school in the United States. There are no fees, no licensing costs, and no hidden requirements. Schools simply need a compatible camera system and internet access to activate the software. Implementation support and onboarding guidance are included at no charge to ensure schools can get up and running quickly and confidently.

Bailey’s Promise is named in honor of Bailey Nicole Holt, a 15-year-old student who was killed during a school shooting in Kentucky in 2018. Bailey was known for her kindness, her smile, and her heart for others. Her family’s strength and advocacy helped inspire this initiative. This promise carries her name forward with purpose, ensuring her story drives action that may protect others from the same fate.

“The fact that RAD is now offering this technology to every school means everything to me,” said Secret Holt, mother of Bailey Holt. “No school should hesitate. If this software can help prevent even one tragedy, it’s worth it. I truly hope every school in the country takes this opportunity.”

Schools and districts can get started today by applying via the form below. The process is simple, and the impact could be life-saving.

This isn’t a trial offer, a marketing tactic, or a limited-time donation. Bailey’s Promise is a standing commitment from RAD to support every school that wants to take action. There are no strings attached. Just real technology, real support, and a shared belief that protecting students must always come first.
